Provide technical support and/or second-opinion expertise to municipalities, including review of studies, estimates, reports, plans and specifications, tender documents, products and other technical documents.
Provide advisory services to local and regional municipalities at all stages of municipal contract management.
Manage projects.
Design municipal infrastructure (water supply, sewers, roadways, etc.).
Prepare grant applications, plans and specifications, cost estimates and tender documents for construction works.
Prepare tender documents for professional services.
Conduct preliminary studies and provide technical advice.
Identify asset conditions and determine municipal infrastructure needs.
Provide office and on-site supervision and inspection.
Other duties related to the role and your area of expertise.
Requirements
Hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction engineering.
Have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in municipal engineering or a similar role.
Possess excellent knowledge of regulations and standards in the field of municipal infrastructure and municipal regulatory requirements.
Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
Be knowledgeable of best practices in contract management, project management, procurement and tendering processes, and funding programs for infrastructure works.
Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Have completed construction site safety training (ASP construction).
Be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and MS Project.
