Role Overview
- Translating requirements into solutions and implementing with code.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing insights.
- Participating in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized projects for high level design.
- Designing, implementing, and testing complex code changes for specific business requirements.
- Analyzing business needs and developing plans to implement software requirements in conjunction with product management and architects.
- Independently handling high impact, critical software/systems monitoring issues and tickets/incidents.
- Managing small to medium-sized complex projects.
- Troubleshooting business and production issues.
Requirements
- 2 years’ experience designing technical solutions in response to product requirement and changes in business.
- Java/J2EE programming experience with a focus on server-side components.
- Experience in developing Web applications; Experience with Spring framework.
- Experience with search technologies (e.g., Solr, Lucene, Vespa).
- Scripting skills in at least one of the following: Python or Shell and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience with IntelliJ or other IDE development tools.
- Experience with Source Code Management Tools (GitHub, SVN, CVS).
- Knowledge of standard tools for optimizing and testing code.
- Ability to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic, fluid environment.
