About this role
Role Overview
Collaborate and build strong relationships with Procurement, Facilities, Fleet, and key internal and external vendors and stakeholders to provide strategic oversight of the Animal Relocation fleet.
Ensure the continuous availability and operational readiness of the fleet to facilitate the seamless, nationwide humane transport of animals.
Execute comprehensive asset and inventory management, overseeing appropriate equipment selection, procurement, and optimal stocking levels across all six waystations/storage facilities and the Irving Park Warehouse.
Support direct reports by holding regular effective feedback conversations, career conversations, annual performance evaluations and ongoing check-in conversations with each team member on a cadence that’s appropriate for their role.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
6 years overall professional experience required
2 years’ professional experience in vehicle management and maintenance required; experience in fleet management strongly preferred
Experience managing staff required
Ability to quickly, calmly, and efficiently adjust to changes in direction and re-prioritize work.
Comfort and experience with learning new technology on a regular basis, required
Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word), required; experience with Airtable, Excel, or a similar database program, required; proficiency with Airtable strongly preferred
Fear Free® certified, or within 60 days of employment.
