About this role
Role Overview
Collaborate and build strong relationships with Procurement, Facilities, Fleet, and key internal and external vendors and stakeholders.
Provide strategic oversight of the Animal Relocation fleet, ensuring proactive lifecycle management of all vehicles.
Execute comprehensive asset and inventory management, overseeing appropriate equipment selection, procurement, and optimal stocking levels across all waystations/storage facilities and the Irving Park Warehouse.
Ensure continuous availability and operational readiness of the fleet to facilitate humane transport of animals.
Support direct reports through feedback conversations, career discussions, and performance evaluations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
6 years overall professional experience required
2 years’ professional experience in vehicle management and maintenance required; experience in fleet management strongly preferred
Experience managing staff required
Experience working within the field of animal welfare required; experience with companion animal relocation strongly preferred
Experience with asset tracking and inventory control strongly preferred
Experience with a cloud-based Fleet Management System (FMS), such as Fleetio, which is designed to centralize and automate the lifecycle of vehicles and equipment, preferred.
