Leading complex projects to troubleshoot, improve, and upgrade production equipment to enhance machine functionality and overall performance
Analyzing workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow to design efficient equipment and workspace layouts
Collaborating with manufacturing engineers and design teams to ensure product designs, tooling, and production methods support efficient manufacturing
Validating product specifications and evaluate equipment, tooling, materials, and fixturing for purchase, ensuring alignment with quality and technical requirements
Assessing production equipment performance, validate production times and staffing needs, and provide cost based recommendations for management decisions
Overseeing APQP and Lean based projects for existing and new production programs, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting budget, performance, and timing goals
Leading functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, analyzing PFMEAs and workflows, and applying advanced statistical and problem solving methods to meet industry standards
Supporting engineers across levels in daily departmental tasks, participating in meetings, managing special engineering projects, and ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and corporate standards
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
7-8+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience and leading technical projects in an automotive or similar environment
Ability to train others
Expert-level knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within Engineering
Experience with customer communication systems and engineering change systems
In-depth understanding of engineering techniques, principles, procedures of their particular field to the completion of difficult assignments
