Role Overview
- Interface with potential customers to define needs and present technical proposals
- Ensure proposals meet requirements for design profitability
- Serve as the lead mechanical engineer on business-critical projects
- Provide design and development feedback on projects and schedules
- Participate in cross-functional teams in design and documentation
- Maintain current on industry trends and future technology
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience (15+ years preferred)
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
- Proficiency in using 3D solid modeling/MCAD, preferably Creo
- Proficiency with Windchill PDM
- Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
- Deep familiarity with high-speed PCBA system design and interconnect
- Strong knowledge of electromechanical design requirements for complex telecommunications or datacenter products
- Extensive experience in managing mechanical design tradeoffs
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
