About this role
Role Overview
Communicate and coordinate project activities with distribution center end users, IT project managers and fellow IT business analysts.
Provide the first level of triage of complex issues, analyze options, explain the impact and partner with internal teams to work towards the best solution to the problem.
Assess projects and identify essential tasks; reprioritize tasks dynamically during the project; perform risk assessments; identify and evaluate alternatives.
Anticipate and identify issues that may prevent deliverables and develop and implement corrective actions.
Negotiate and persuade other groups with diverse perspectives to gain cooperation and achieve business objectives.
Help to manage and develop execution of QA test plans for enhancements and large projects.
Ensure all applications are developed to comply with architectural standards and established methodologies and techniques.
Have an awareness of supply chain & logistics operations and related technology industry trends.
Requirements
B.S. in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or equivalent
3+ years of supply chain and/or warehouse systems experience
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems
Ability to read, write & understand SQL
Strong attention to detail with emphasis on both quality and speed
Ability to solve problems, work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
Ability to work independently, prioritize work effectively and handle multiple competing demands
Preferred Skills: Working knowledge/previous use of business systems in addition to those above (OMS, POS, etc.)
Knowledge of Manhattan’s WMS for iSeries
Previous experience in a retail/wholesale organization
