compile and evaluate process or product designs and test data
design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems, equipment, and sustaining activities for Infrared Detector packaging operations
evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or processes
specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services
provide technical expertise and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
interact with technical management, other professionals, technicians, and support personnel to coordinate, recommend, and confer regarding technical activities and progress
support and participate in technical activity
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Ceramics Engineering field with 0-2+ years applicable engineering experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret clearance, which requires US citizenship
Knowledge of solvent clean and wet etch applications
Experience with semiconductor packaging practices and processes
Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret GD&T
Proficiency with electronic instruments and test equipment
Familiarity with analytical methods; ability to follow a DOE precisely and make sound decisions when deviations are identified
