Lead the development of cloud technology frameworks and provide technical leadership for cloud initiatives
Advise application and service owners on efficient, secure, and scalable use of cloud platforms
Evaluate multiple architectural scenarios to guide teams toward the most effective and cost‑efficient solutions
Advocate for cloud‑first principles and influence long‑term cloud adoption strategies
Define and design services that span on‑premises and cloud environments
Develop and maintain a library of reusable, documented cloud design patterns across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and hybrid models
Contribute to solution architecture for new and existing workloads, focusing on automation, scalability, resiliency, reliability, and cost optimization
Conduct performance, scalability, and reliability testing for cloud and third‑party applications
Partner with software developers, system engineers, and database teams to translate business and technical requirements into cloud solutions
Partner with Enterprise Application teams to review and design solutions based on enterprise software vendor and cloud operator best practices
Provide technical governance, operational support, and expertise related to cloud deployments and day‑to‑day operations
Analyze and optimize existing cloud workloads to improve performance and reduce costs
Use monitoring and analytics tools to identify opportunities for improvement
Drive continuous improvement in cloud operations, provisioning, automation, and service delivery
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and cloud innovations
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud engineering, architecture, or operations (8–10+ years total IT experience preferred)
Extensive experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms
Strong background in technical architecture, system engineering, or application development
Server administration experience (Windows and Linux)
Experience with CI/CD, automation, and DevOps tools (Terraform, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible, AWS Systems Manager, etc.)
Knowledge of monitoring and analytics tools: Cloudability, Azure Monitor, ServiceNow
Experience with cloud security frameworks and technologies (Azure AD, MFA, Prisma, Splunk)
