Technical After Sales Trainer – f/m/d

Role Overview

• Delivering high quality technical training to Volkswagen and Audi dealership service personnel.
• Effective application of automotive technologies and processes.
• Training includes theoretical instruction as well as hands-on diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Day to day operations and maintenance of the Training Center, including scheduling, reporting, and administration of classes.
• Review, maintenance, and development of course curriculum and training content.
• Operates in classroom, workshop, and office environments with hands‑on technical instruction.
• Strict adherence to safety protocols, including EV and high‑voltage systems.

Requirements

• Post‑secondary diploma in automotive or mechanical studies, or equivalent experience, required; bachelor’s degree in automotive science or related field preferred.
• Valid Provincial Technician’s License or Interprovincial Red Seal Certification required.
• Certification in Adult Learning or Instructional Methodologies is an asset.
• 5+ years in a technical automotive role within an OEM dealership required.
• 3+ years of training, teaching, or instructional experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, repair procedures, and emerging technologies.
• Ability to clearly translate complex technical concepts into accessible instruction.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot both technical and learner‑related issues; adaptable in adjusting tools, methods, and approaches.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and hands‑on training methodologies.
• Skilled in conducting workshops, demonstrations, and classroom/virtual sessions for varied skill levels.
• Effective classroom and workshop management, including safe use of tools, vehicles, and equipment.
• Ability to design, update, and maintain training content aligned with evolving technologies.
• Strong written communication for course materials, assessments, and instructional resources.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for in‑person and virtual delivery.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with technicians, dealership staff, and internal/external stakeholders.
• French and/or German language skills are an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LMS platforms, and curriculum development tools.
