Effective application of automotive technologies and processes.
Training includes theoretical instruction as well as hands-on diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures.
Day to day operations and maintenance of the Training Center, including scheduling, reporting, and administration of classes.
Review, maintenance, and development of course curriculum and training content.
Operates in classroom, workshop, and office environments with hands‑on technical instruction.
Strict adherence to safety protocols, including EV and high‑voltage systems.
Requirements
Post‑secondary diploma in automotive or mechanical studies, or equivalent experience, required; bachelor’s degree in automotive science or related field preferred.
Valid Provincial Technician’s License or Interprovincial Red Seal Certification required.
Certification in Adult Learning or Instructional Methodologies is an asset.
5+ years in a technical automotive role within an OEM dealership required.
3+ years of training, teaching, or instructional experience preferred.
Strong understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, repair procedures, and emerging technologies.
Ability to clearly translate complex technical concepts into accessible instruction.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot both technical and learner‑related issues; adaptable in adjusting tools, methods, and approaches.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and hands‑on training methodologies.
Skilled in conducting workshops, demonstrations, and classroom/virtual sessions for varied skill levels.
Effective classroom and workshop management, including safe use of tools, vehicles, and equipment.
Ability to design, update, and maintain training content aligned with evolving technologies.
Strong written communication for course materials, assessments, and instructional resources.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for in‑person and virtual delivery.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with technicians, dealership staff, and internal/external stakeholders.
French and/or German language skills are an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LMS platforms, and curriculum development tools.
