Application Management is responsible for planning and managing the full lifecycle, as well as the delivery and day-to-day operation of multiple, complex, organization-wide applications,
web applications and services,
and more than 170 organization-specific applications managed by Information Technology Services intended for use by specific client departments, the organization and/or the public.
Under the direction of an Application Management project manager, the incumbent works as part of a team on a number of client–server applications to support the requirements of our internal clients.
Requirements
Post-secondary studies – completion of the first year of college or university in computer science or a related field.
At least four, but no more than eight months of relevant experience.
Coursework at an educational institution; 6 months of experience in computing or systems.
Software development is an asset.
Knowledge of development techniques for Windows.
One or more of the above technologies, web applications, client/server architecture and database design would definitely be an asset.
Technologies used include Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, PowerBuilder, Oracle Internet Developer Suite, Cognos toolset, web graphics tools, SQL, MS Access, Visual Basic, MS Office, Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP, SQL Server and Oracle 8/9i, SAP.
