Assist the supervisor or designate in performing advanced level engineering functions as required
Conduct general construction site office duties
Conduct engineering fieldwork and field, construction site and structural inspections, including conducting visual surveys, collecting data, taking photographs
Monitor and interpret process data and conduct trend analyses
Conduct project scheduling, progress tracking and developing project documentation
Conduct public information sessions and presentations and develop communications documents as required
May be responsible for assisting in coordinating portions of smaller contracts
Requirements
Post-secondary Student
completion of third year or beyond college or university in mechanical, chemical, environmental or electrical engineering, architectural or civil/structural engineering program with a strong computer applications background
Two years or more of related experience is required
Valid Ontario unrestricted G class driver’s licence (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerit points accumulated
Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates are assets
Must complete all required on-the-job training/certifications (e.g. WHMIS, fall arrest, confined space entry, etc.) within the timeframe determined by the employer.
