Assist in providing technical advice and guidance for designated Engineering projects and programs at assigned site
Assist in the review, investigation and development of appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering projects
Participate on small to medium site construction, expansion or modification projects
Administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment
Develop working knowledge of local, state and federal regulations appropriate to area of assignment
Perform other duties as required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline with no experience required
Knowledge of the principles and practices of Engineering
Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions
Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
Proficiency in MS Office
Advanced degree or Professional Engineering (PE) Certification (preferred)
Experience with or classes related to Power Systems Engineering (preferred)
Experience with Power System Modeling software such as SKM, eTAP, etc. (preferred)
Familiarity with industrial AC and DC motors, VFD’s and plant instrumentation (preferred)
Familiarity with powerline layout, engineering and construction (preferred)
Familiarity with MV power systems (preferred)
Leadership and construction / mining experience (preferred)
Knowledge and understanding of NEC & NFPA70E Regulations (preferred)
