Senior Vocational Rehab Counselor

Role Overview

• Provide independent professional vocational rehabilitation counseling to individuals with disabilities
• Assess medical, psychological, and vocational information to determine eligibility for services
• Develop and implement Individual Plan for Employment with clients
• Authorize and coordinate services for successful employment outcomes
• Negotiate with clients regarding plan development
• Conduct in-depth interviews and determine rehabilitation services feasibility
• Manage resources to ensure financial accountability according to regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field of study reasonably related to vocational rehabilitation
• Minimum 2 years of paid or unpaid experience working directly with individuals with disabilities
• For each year of work experience required in the qualifications, an applicant shall have 12 months of full-time work experience to receive credit for an entire year
• Master’s or doctoral degree in a related field (optional) with 1 year of corresponding experience.
