Provide independent professional vocational rehabilitation counseling to individuals with disabilities
Assess medical, psychological, and vocational information to determine eligibility for services
Develop and implement Individual Plan for Employment with clients
Authorize and coordinate services for successful employment outcomes
Negotiate with clients regarding plan development
Conduct in-depth interviews and determine rehabilitation services feasibility
Manage resources to ensure financial accountability according to regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field of study reasonably related to vocational rehabilitation
Minimum 2 years of paid or unpaid experience working directly with individuals with disabilities
For each year of work experience required in the qualifications, an applicant shall have 12 months of full-time work experience to receive credit for an entire year
Master’s or doctoral degree in a related field (optional) with 1 year of corresponding experience.
