Act as part of a team that is responsible for providing financial and operations accounting expertise to support plant accounting functions.
Become subject matter expert for processes included in your role which may include complex agreements.
Complete and improve month end close processes.
Participate in automation and process improvement projects.
Verify the proper accumulation of product flows through our production areas and verification of month end accumulations and reporting (OPM).
Perform raw material and finished product cost accounting.
Understand, identify and implement required internal controls, including certification reporting, audit responses and SOX controls.
Participation in the physical asset verification process.
Ensure Balance Sheet Accounts are effectively analyzed and managed.
Complete Capital Project and Fixed Asset Accounting.
Prepare moderate and high-risk account reconciliations and journal entries.
Other related duties as required.

An undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or related field, along with a recognized professional accounting designation or working towards.
3+ years of experience.
Experience working in a plant environment is strongly preferred.
Strong working knowledge of Accounting/financial concepts and principles.
Understanding of GAAP/IFRS applications in a business environment.
Experience with large ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data base tools such as Power Query.
Strong communications and collaboration skills along with interpersonal awareness.
Commitment to deadlines and attention to detail.
A desire to grow and develop.
