Managing Consultants at Guidehouse play a pivotal role in leading project delivery and ensuring the successful implementation of strategy and transformation solutions for healthcare system clients.
Working under the guidance of a Director or Associate Director, this position is responsible for managing day-to-day project activities, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving operational excellence across client engagements.
The Managing Consultant partners closely with clients and internal stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into actionable project plans, deliver high-quality solutions, and foster strong client relationships.
Success in this position is measured by the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget, achieve client satisfaction, and contribute to the growth of Guidehouse’s healthcare consulting practice.
This role supports clients in evaluating, planning, and partnering to optimize healthcare delivery across and between health care systems.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, public policy, or related field
7 years minimum (9 years preferred) of previous work experience in healthcare administration/management experience for a healthcare system and/or a consulting firm
Clinical or operational background within a healthcare system, with the ability to translate clinical and operational insight into system-level planning and strategy
Experience with strategic partnerships and operational partnering efforts among healthcare entities
Capacity to own a complex work stream, meet deadlines, and drive results
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated excellence in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
A track record of efficiency, flexibility, creative problem-solving, self-motivation, and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior staff
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
