Serve as the primary system administrator for Workday Financials, with a strong focus on financial configuration, controls, and performance.
Configure and maintain Workday Financials business processes, approval chains, and integrations aligned with accounting and finance operational requirements.
Support and maintain integrations between Salesforce and Workday, ensuring accurate data flow related to billing, revenue, and customer-related financial activity.
Manage Workday Financials security roles and permissions to maintain internal controls and support SOX and audit requirements.
Partner closely with IT to support Workday Financials upgrades, testing, and change management efforts.
Develop, maintain, and enhance Workday Financials reports, dashboards, and analytics for Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and leadership teams.
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes by validating data accuracy and reconciling Workday Financials outputs to general ledger and subledger balances.
Provide actionable financial insights using Workday reporting tools and Prism analytics.
Ensure ongoing data integrity, consistency, and audit readiness across all Workday Financials modules.
Partner with Finance and Accounting leadership to identify and implement process automation and efficiency improvements within Workday Financials.
Act as a key liaison between Finance, Accounting, IT, and other stakeholders to support cross-functional financial system needs.
Troubleshoot Workday Financials issues, escalate to Workday support as needed, and drive timely resolution.
Create and maintain system documentation, user guides, and training materials to support consistent and effective use of Workday Financials.
Support SOX compliance and internal control frameworks through appropriate role-based access, workflow governance, and documentation.
Maintain audit documentation related to system changes, access controls, and financial workflows.
Participate in internal and external audits as a Workday Financials system and data subject matter expert.
Stay current on Workday Financials releases and new functionality, evaluating impact and implementing relevant enhancements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
3-5 years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Workday Financials
Prior accounting or finance experience, with a solid understanding of general ledger, financial close, and core accounting processes
Experience supporting ERP systems in a mid-size or enterprise SaaS environment
Experience working with Salesforce, particularly in relation to financial data, billing, or revenue-related integrations, preferred
