Manage site operations in a safe, environmentally compliant, and effective manner
Implement plant safety and security inspections, audits, and training to meet OSHA and regulatory requirements
Ensure proper staffing levels and develop team members to meet key safety, financial, and operational goals
Oversee staffing and development of production supervisors and staff including labor relations
Use operational metrics to identify trends, drive improvements, and maximize efficiency and profitability
Communicate proactively with division leadership regarding site performance and operational risks
Adhere to the annual operating budget
Foster an environment centered on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Best Management Practices
Ensure standardized work practices including job safety analyses, lock out/tag out, daily housekeeping checklists, product quality checks, and fire/safety procedures; lead supervisors responsible for daily operations
Ensure timely maintenance work orders; partner with Regional Grade Manager to ensure accurate build specifications; provide operational support Monday–Friday and on-call as needed.
Requirements
A minimum of three years manufacturing leadership
Proven history of strong safety performance (low TRIR and LTIR)
Experience managing a plant or process operation preferred
Ability to work effectively in a challenging, constantly changing environment
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Strong communication skills across all organizational levels
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for production tracking and reporting
Strong understanding of OSHA and environmental regulations
Financial acumen ability
Comfort working on the plant floor
Ability to foster teamwork
Working knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations
