Perform traffic impact studies, and capacity analyses for intersections, corridors, and roadway networks.
Analyze traffic operations using tools such as Synchro, HCS, VISSIM or similar software.
Develop and review traffic signal timing plans, phasing diagrams, and traffic signal design plans.
Conduct multimodal analyses for vehicles, pedestrian, bicyclists and transit.
Prepare technical reports, exhibits, and design documentation.
Requirements
A 4-year degree in civil engineering
3+ years of experience
Ability to obtain PTOE PE preferred, but not required
Ability to write reports
Familiarity with Windows suite, Syncro, VISSIM, and other traffic software packages
Knowledge of MUTCD, Highway Capacity Manual, AASHTO Guidelines FHWA Regulations & Guidance, ADA Standards (PROWAG & ADAAG), GDOT Traffic Signal Design Guidelines, GDOT Signing and Marking Design Guidelines, GDOT Driveway manual, GDOT Design Policy Manual, Roundabout Design Guide and GDOT Construction and Standards
Minimal travel involved, mostly in Georgia
Membership and participation in Georgia Section ITE is desired.
