Own the entire post-production for 1-2 complex, long-form YouTube videos per month, including sifting through all footage, building a story, multi-cam assembly, color grading, sound design, and adding all creative/graphical elements.
Act as the final guardian for all vlog content. Ensure every second of video aligns with our brand, our mission, and our high standard of technical excellence (no audio pops, no color issues, no typos).
Review the performance of every video you cut. Analyze YouTube Studio retention graphs to understand what's working and what's not, and bring those insights to the next edit.
Work directly with the team to receive and execute feedback efficiently and with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.
Requirements
4+ years of professional experience editing narrative, vlog, or documentary-style content specifically for YouTube.
Must provide a portfolio of long-form YouTube videos that clearly demonstrates exceptional narrative storytelling, pacing, music selection, and technical skill.
Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
High proficiency in After Effects for motion graphics and text.
Expert-level skills in sound design and music selection to drive emotion.
Innate understanding of YouTube analytics, particularly audience retention graphs.
Must be proficient in the following:
Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop)
ClickUp (or similar PM tool like Asana/Notion)
Google Drive & G-Suite
Must have a deep knowledge of YouTube as a platform and a passion for narrative storytelling (vlogs, docu-series).
