Review architectural drawings, specifications, and submittals for completeness, constructability, and alignment with Government requirements; provide written comments and recommended resolutions.
Support facility condition assessments by reviewing documentation, identifying deficiencies, and drafting technical narratives and recommendations.
Provide architectural code and standards research (e.g., IBC, NFPA, ADA/ABA, UFC where applicable) and document findings for Government consideration.
Develop and/or review design alternatives, space planning concepts, and architectural options to support Government evaluation.
Draft technical inputs for Statements of Work, performance requirements, and evaluation criteria for Government review and approval.
Coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, security) to identify interfaces, conflicts, and integration issues.
Prepare technical briefings, decision-support matrices, and executive summaries for Government stakeholders.
Track technical issues and actions; support resolution workflow by documenting options, impacts, and recommended paths forward.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent relevant experience)
Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible architectural design, review, or facilities engineering experience
Ability to obtain and maintain DOJ/BOP suitability, background investigation, and facility access as required
Working knowledge of architectural codes, standards, and accessibility requirements
Proficiency with common tools (e.g., MS Office; familiarity with CAD/BIM workflows is a plus)
