Role Overview
- Support the design, analysis, and development of mechanical systems and components for Federal and DOE-related projects.
- Develop, review, and maintain engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams, project managers, and external vendors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Assist with equipment selection, system sizing, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure designs and deliverables comply with applicable codes, standards, and Federal regulations (e.g., ASME, ANSI, DOE requirements).
- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and project status updates.
- Support construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities as required.
- Review vendor submittals, technical data, and drawings for compliance with project specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and 3-10 years of mechanical engineering experience
- Fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, systems, and design methodologies
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Proficiency with common engineering software tools (e.g., CAD, analysis, or documentation tools)
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
