Oversee specialty clinical programs and other assigned clinics in daily operations, marketing, financial forecasting, strategic planning, revenue cycle, key initiatives, clinical contracting, faculty support services, and resource allocation for the Department of Family Medicine.
Working under the direction and guidance of the Associate Director, Clinical Administration.
Authority over clinical business affairs, funds, and resources of the various specialty programs in partnership with the respective faculty program director(s) including department operations and administrative functions.
Oversee financial reconciliations including faculty and staff allocations for payers and other external value-based agreements.
Responsible for the organization, communication and reporting on key clinical program outcomes for assigned programs/initiatives to leadership.
Partner with the Faculty Program Directors to oversee clinical specialty programs and their related operations within the Department of Family Medicine.
Oversee physician support services for assigned programs to enable effective support to faculty members within their clinical and administrative activities.
Assist in the recruitment and retention process for faculty.
Provide data and financial analysis as needed for operations, management, and strategic decisions regarding new services being considered.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science or another related field of study.
A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
Four (4) years of experience in the areas of ambulatory physician practice management/operations, financial management, payer contracts, provider contracts, billing, and or information systems.
Five (5) or more years of experience in the areas of ambulatory physician practice management/operations, financial management, payer contracts, provider contracts, billing, and information systems (preferred).
Experience in business development and strategy planning (preferred).
Professional experience with budgeting, profit/loss statements, business proposals, grants, new business ventures, or pro forma generation (preferred).
Academic clinical health system experience (preferred).
Master’s degree from an accredited institution (preferred).
Experience with ambulatory specialty care clinical business management and operations (preferred).
