Provide Federal Program Managers with clear, accurate, and timely engineering analyses to support programmatic decision-making.
Monitor and assess technical progress, schedule performance, and deliverable execution across research and development portfolios.
Track and manage Defense Programs, Department of Defense (DoD), and Congressional actions and inquiries impacting assigned programs.
Respond to short-notice scenario analyses, data calls, and leadership inquiries from NNSA senior leadership and Departmental officials.
Coordinate communications between NNSA headquarters, site offices, laboratories, and production agencies to address program and portfolio requirements.
Develop program plans, executive briefings, reports, and issue papers outlining project outcomes, technical progress, and mission impact.
Track and facilitate action items and deliverables to ensure timely submissions and effective program execution.
Evaluate project performance relative to technical objectives, schedule milestones, quality standards, and negotiated metrics, and provide recommendations to Federal leadership.
Support annual, quarterly, and recurring reporting requirements for program reviews, portfolio assessments, and senior-level meetings.
Requirements
Active DOE Q clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related STEM field.
Experience supporting engineering, research, development, technology maturation, or defense-related programs.
Demonstrated ability to apply analytical skills to inform technical, strategic, or programmatic decisions.
Experience working within federal, defense, national laboratory, or similarly complex technical environments.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to accuracy and detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, high-visibility environment with competing priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for leadership review.
