Biosignal processing, particularly of respiratory or cardiovascular signals
Data-driven modeling of components of the cardiovascular system and/or lung function
Exploration of alternative methods and measurement techniques to determine vital signs for exertion monitoring
Implementation of concepts into prototype software applications
Requirements
Enrolled in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a comparable degree program (at least in the 4th semester) or equivalent
Programming experience in software development (Python, MATLAB)
Solid understanding of digital signal processing, simulation of dynamic systems, and statistical modeling techniques
Reproducible working practices (e.g., Git, notebooks, MLflow)
Ability to understand clinical workflows and user perspectives, and confident communication in German or English
