Focus on the design and development of specialized systems and special test equipment for electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical products.
Extensive analog and digital circuit design, microcontrollers, data acquisition, filtering/conditioning, printed circuit design, measurement error analysis, and future system-level engineering.
Utilization of CAE tools such as Altium and SPICE, and laboratory equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, function generators, etc. used to perform circuit design, verification and troubleshooting.
Working with or creating embedded firmware to control hardware.
Working with various serial communication protocols such as RS-232, RS-422, SPI, I2C, etc.
Requirements
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering or related field
Some understanding of basic analog building blocks including differential amplifiers, op amps, LDOs, filters, and data converters
Novice with basic digital building blocks including logic gates, flip flops, timers, and filters
Little to no experience with standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, meters, etc.)
Little to no experience with modeling and simulation utilities (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, etc.)
