Assisting the Project Team in executing projects in the planning and construction phases
Managing the design, engineering and construction of utility-scale renewable energy projects
Developing and maintaining project schedules
Prepares construction cost estimates
Manages document control and prepares management reports
Executes site QA/QC activities and participates in the receipt and inspection of equipment and materials
Oversees construction contractor(s) as the Owner’s representative
Supports management and updates of work plans, QC staffing, and budgets for each phase of project execution
Provides and/or coordinates engineering support for development and permitting activities
Organizes regularly scheduled project meetings
Supports project developers and senior construction management team for seamless project transition into construction phase
Works with Operations for successful project turn-over
Oversees quality control and assurance work during execution of project
Coordinates with regulatory agencies, local landowners, power off-takers, and other project-level external parties
Responsible for implementing and maintaining safety programs at the jobsite.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management required; equivalent experience or education may be considered
Prior experience in heavy construction, including scheduling, document controls, project turnover, procurement, field receiving, construction cost estimating, engineering, budgeting, change management, and field engineering
Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering and construction of utility-scale renewable energy projects
Experience involving execution of work under environmental and regulatory constraints unique to renewable energy projects preferred
Strong technical proficiency with project scheduling software, Microsoft Office Suite; AutoCAD, file management platforms and other construction support systems preferred
Proficient with GIS tools to collect, display and transmit data for projects
Familiarity with contracting procedures, engineering practices, construction techniques, and renewable project technologies
Willingness to execute extended field assignments
Valid driver’s license
24/7 on-call availability when at project location
Comfortable working at heights and the ability to perform essential physical functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation; this includes climbing wind turbines, lifting 50 lbs. above head, and meeting the weight requirement of standard safety and protective equipment.
