About this role
Role Overview
Assist with daily financial operations including payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger management.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, DCAA, FAR, and other federal contracting financial requirements.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Prepare financial statements – P&L, balance sheet and cash flows
Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely responses and documentation.
Partner with the CFO, Controller and Head of Accounting to analyze financial performance, identify risks, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Develop, document, and implement process improvements in financial systems (e.g., Paylocity, Deltek Costpoint, Vestwell, Employee Navigator).
Assist with treasury activities, forecasting, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and government regulations related to financial operations.
Provide mentorship and subject matter expertise across the finance and HR/payroll functions as needed.
Interact with our parent company (Nokia) to handle intercompany reporting, reconciliation and various other matters.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
5+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accountant role.
Strong understanding of GAAP, federal contract compliance, and DCAA regulations.
Strong PC Skills; Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong understanding of Deltek Costpoint ERP system.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex reconciliations, payroll integrations, and benefits accounting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
