Responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records across multiple entities, ensuring accurate reporting, robust reconciliations, and timely month-end close.
Perform and maintain accurate bank reconciliations across all entities and accounts.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of general ledger transactions, including appropriate coding and classification in Xero.
Prepare and roll forward working papers to support the month-end and year-end close processes.
Oversee the full AP and AR lifecycle, including invoice processing, payment preparation, allocation of receipts, and management of outstanding balances.
Monitor aged receivables and proactively manage collections to support cash flow.
Assist with payroll accounting, including preparation of journals and reconciliation of payroll-related accounts.
Support ATO compliance requirements, including preparation and review of BAS and other activity statements.
Assist in the preparation of consolidated accounts across multiple entities.
Manage accounting processes for multiple entities operating across global regions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
CPA or CA qualification (or working toward completion) preferred.
3–5 years’ experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role.
Strong proficiency in Xero and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs).
Solid understanding of Australian accounting standards and ATO compliance requirements.
Experience working across multiple entities and, ideally, multi-currency environments.
Demonstrated ability to improve processes and enhance finance operations.
Strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills, with confidence engaging global stakeholders.
Highly organised, proactive, and capable of managing competing priorities in a remote setting.
Leadership potential and interest in contributing to the growth of the finance function.
