About this role
Role Overview
- Respond to security alerts (Huntress, Blumira), including investigation, containment, remediation, and documentation of results
- Perform preventive maintenance: monitoring reviews, patch coordination, system cleanup, and environment standardization
- Automate repeatable tasks using PowerShell (onboarding/offboarding, reporting, recurring fixes)
- Manage ticket workflows and client communication using ConnectWise Manage
- Perform remote monitoring and remediation through Datto RMM
- Create and maintain clear documentation and procedures for repeatable solutions
- Lead Disaster Recovery planning and testing across environments
- Execute emergency VM and server recovery when required
- Troubleshoot and administer Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP)
- Manage Microsoft 365 environments and Azure identity/security settings
- Support networking infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, switching, and Wi-Fi (Meraki preferred; UniFi/Netgear helpful)
- Participate in a limited on-call rotation for critical server outages only
Requirements
- 5+ years of strong MSP experience supporting multiple client environments
- Advanced Windows Server administration and troubleshooting skills
- Strong networking knowledge (firewalls, VPNs, switching, Wi-Fi)
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Azure fundamentals (identity, email, security settings)
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and preventive work
- Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V; high availability experience is a plus)
- Experience responding to security alerts and incidents (Huntress, Blumira; ThreatLocker preferred)
- Experience with ConnectWise Manage and Datto RMM
- Proven experience handling disaster recovery and server/network failure scenarios
- Excellent documentation habits and professional English communication skills
- Ability to work US Eastern Time hours
