Accounts Payable Analyst I

Role Overview

• Ensure timely and appropriate recording of all transactions in accounts payables
• Analyze AP related issues and solve independently
• Ensure fulfilment of company obligations to third parties and employees
• Provide analyses and reports to AP Team Lead/Supervisor
• Create and maintain working relationships with internal customers
• Contribute to improving vendor relationships
• Handle questions from internal customers
• Reinforce purchase order procedure to internal customers
• Back-up peer AP Associates
• Proactively challenge processes and work methods
• Identify opportunities for system and process improvements
• Follow up and solve exception handling regarding AP issues
• Support audits to ensure internal control and Sarbanes Oxley requirements
• Actively participate in assigned projects

Requirements

• Previous experience in accounts payable process
• Exposure to Shared Service environment preferred
• Good understanding of Purchase to Pay processes preferred
• Practical experience of ERP and PC-based computer systems
• Experience with creation of Key Performance Indicators preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and organization skills
• Analytical skills to solve day-to-day problems
• Ability to manage multiple tasks
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Adaptability in a changing environment
• Quick learner of systems and processes
