Role Overview
- Prepare product definition (CAD models, drawings, EBOMs) for engineering designs using Creo or NX integrated with Windchill PLM System.
- Perform checking verification of Product Definition associated with models, drawings, and PLM attributes and relationships to industry, company, and program standards.
- Prepare and work from design layouts and/or preliminary conceptual design layouts.
- Generate or validate tolerance stack up calculations and resulting GD&T based on ASME Y14.5.
- Ensure adherence to model centric design philosophy (model driven drawings) via verification of CAD model data to drawing content.
- Utilizing proficient experience with digital markup tools to communicate PD verification findings and suggestions to design staff members.
Requirements
- Degree and minimum 4 years of prior design/drafting experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior design/drafting experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior design/drafting experience
- 1-2 years of experience with CAD software tools (PTC Creo or Siemens NX preferred)
- Experience using CAD database management and PLM tools (PTC Windchill preferred)
- Familiar with ASME Y14.5 and ability to read and interpret product definition and related specifications per ASME Y14.100
- Knowledge of solid propulsion systems design and manufacturing methods is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
