Role Overview
- Solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across platforms and services
- Manage systems data for clients and provide day-to-day solutions and security compliance
- Oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians
- Prioritize tickets to deliver the best solutions to clients
- Recommend modernization options and identify new business opportunities
- Cultivate relationships with other teams and stakeholders
Requirements
- Minimal 10 years experience configuring and troubleshooting zSeries Communication Services VTAM, TCPIP, TN3270
- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Netview, Mainview or Omegamon
- Familiarity with Connect:Direct and Connect:Direct File Agent (Optional)
- Experienced in the use of SMPE (Optional)
- Experience in the use of REXX and/or Netview REXX (Optional)
- Ability to use AI tools to analyze data and provide recommendations and implement solutions
- Ability to use M365 Copilot AI to recap meetings and draft emails
- Ability to stay educated in the role of AI for a LinuxOne System Programmer
