Preparing technical specifications as a roadmap for software
Implementing, testing and integrating new applications
Performing routine application backups and upgrades
Installing new applications, upgrades and releases
Providing instructions and training for staff when necessary
Monitoring, recording and responding to requests for support
Investigating and diagnosing system faults and errors
Resolving technical issues
Analyzing error trends aimed at reducing/minimizing down time
Communicating messages regarding application issues to users in a timely manner
Liaising with application suppliers when needed to fulfil the requirements of the organization
Scheduling and running regular tests to enhance the current application.
Identifying and developing functionality changes
Maintaining documentation of key databases and applications linked to them.
Perform lead/supervisor duties as and when assigned.
May create, design, and run complex standard or ad-hoc reports based on process owners and end user needs.
Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems with a thorough understanding of business, technology, and industry requirements and their limitations.
Monitor and implement relevant IT security measures to protect company/client data, software, and hardware.
Anticipates knowledge gaps and provides training and technical assistance to end users and other IT staff. May serve as technical lead responsible for mentoring, instructing, directing, and checking the work of other IT personnel.
Serve as point of contact for escalated technical support in circumstances where local or first level technical staff may not have appropriate expertise and/or resources to solve more complex problems.
Coordinate with Project Management Office (PMO) to engage senior IT staff, management, and vendors in conducting thorough assessments of business and user needs, gathering and documenting requirements, and creating solutions for areas for improvement or upgrade which enhance user experience and/or enterprise efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
Bachelor in IT or relevant
Overall, 12 years of experience; require satisfactory experience in following areas:
o Administration, monitoring and maintenance of software infrastructures and applications.
o Oversee practices and processes to ensure integrity, safety and availability of all data and applications as part of organizations’ information systems.
o Ensure that the processes needed for a business to function and succeed are running smoothly.
o technical point of contact to fix application and systems issues, usually on an immediate basis.
o Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
o Ability to prioritize and organize work in a multitasked environment.
o Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.
o Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
