About this role
Role Overview
Responsible leadership role managing a team of 10 employees with scope to influence and shape the area
Conceptual, organizational, personnel and financial responsibility for the Finance department
Drive the ongoing change process and support the digitization of the finance function
Support the implementation of an electronic document management system in collaboration with the Heads of Digitalization and Administration
Advise and support the department head on strategic matters, financial planning and value creation
Process design and optimization
Cost calculations for grant-funded projects
Bank correspondence, liquidity tracking and asset planning
Coordination of the internal preparation of the annual financial statements
Evaluation and modernization of organization-wide financial processes, policies and general procedures in close coordination with the department head
Requirements
Completed degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration or a related field with a focus on cost accounting/controlling/financial management
At least 5 years of professional experience in financial management, consulting or controlling
Excellent skills in MS Excel (including PivotTables) and/or other controlling and planning software
Experience in digitization projects and change management
Very good knowledge of and confident use of at least one common accounting software (ideally Sage100 or DATEV)
Solid knowledge of commercial and tax law; knowledge of grant funding regulations is an advantage
