Independently perform complex payroll processing for assigned clients
Provide technical oversight and quality assurance of payroll processes at the site
Act as the primary contact (m/f/d) for complex payroll, tax, and social security law questions
Support the team with special cases, audits, and escalations
Analyze and continuously optimize payroll and service processes
Ensure a consistent level of technical quality
Provide subject-matter guidance, coaching, and knowledge transfer within the payroll team
Support the professional onboarding of new employees
Collaborate across locations with other Senior Payroll Specialists to promote knowledge transfer
Work closely with the Head of Customer Service as a technical sparring partner
Participate in employee meetings, feedback sessions, and development discussions
Requirements
Excellent knowledge of tax and social security law
Strong user-level experience with a payroll system, ideally PROVIA
Experience in a technically leading role (e.g., Senior, Expert, Mentor)
Strong communication and advisory skills with team members and clients
Structured, solution-oriented, and quality-conscious working style
Several years of solid experience in payroll processing
