Role Overview
Development and optimization of machine learning algorithms for medical imaging applications to improve the accuracy and efficiency of ophthalmic diagnoses.
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including software engineers and clinicians, to integrate AI solutions into existing medical workflows and tools.
Analysis of large datasets from various sources to ensure data quality and integrity for training and validating AI models that detect eye-related diseases.
Staying up to date with the latest advances in AI and medical imaging and applying innovative approaches to improve the product offering and patient outcomes.
Requirements
2+ years of professional experience in machine learning and deep learning, including knowledge of CNNs, U-Net architectures, and common ML techniques such as cross-validation and regularization.
4+ years of hands-on experience in computer vision and image processing, including 2D/3D image processing, segmentation, and spatial normalization.
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with common machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Bioengineering, (Medical) Physics, or a similar quantitative field.
