Role Overview
- This position will be part of the Defense and Aerospace Mechanical Engineering team, responsible for designing and documenting complex cable interconnects.
- This role will be working with fast paced, cross-functional engineering teams to meet project requirements.
- Develop & document complex cable interconnect designs
- Collaborate with multi-disciplined design teams
- Partner with approved vendors specializing in high-speed cable design
- Support preproduction and initial engineering prototype builds
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Min 5 years of experience with Cable design and documentation
- Capable of navigating requirements in high-signal count cables
- Familiar with basic cable and wire types, including termination techniques
- Strong communication required to navigate priorities across multiple projects
- Previous experience with 38999 style connectors highly desirable.
- Proficient in SolidWorks Assemblies and Drawings
- Experience with Microsoft Visio a plus.
