Use tools like Citrix Director/Monitor to analyze and tune session performance.
Analyze system logs to identify the root causes of performance issues and implement appropriate solutions to address them
Create and update technical documentation, standardizing procedures, and training Tier 2 System Administrators.
Maintain compliance with security standards and best practices by adhering to established guidelines and implementing appropriate measures
Conduct testing and validation of backup and disaster recovery procedures to confirm their effectiveness and readiness for potential incidents
Assess future infrastructure requirements and make necessary capacity adjustments to accommodate organizational growth and evolving demands
Collaborate with application teams to integrate their applications into the virtualized environment, ensuring seamless compatibility and functionality
Offer technical support to users and IT teams on Citrix technologies, addressing questions, resolving issues, and assisting with system operations
Keep up to date with the latest features and functionalities of Citrix technologies to leverage new advancements and improve system performance
Requirements
Must have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or TS with the ability to acquire SCI
Must have several years of experience with Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Cloud, NetScaler (ADC), and PVS/MCS.
Must have experience with Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and Dell Wyse thin clients (or similar hardware).
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2019, Microsoft Windows Server 2025, VMware ESXi, Active Directory, SAN, SQL 2012/16, VCP 7.X.
Knowledge of network protocols and configuration.
Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Experience with data protection and disaster recovery solutions.
Proven experience in recommending solutions that improve customer satisfaction and/or the mission of the customer.
Ability to work well in a team and effectively communicate technical information
Must be able to work a 40-hour work week, normally Monday through Friday
Ability to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last-minute requests for overtime if needed
Ability to travel (5-10%) primarily within 75 miles
Familiarity with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Project and Visio
Exceptional attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong critical thinking, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
