Compiles, analyzes, and securely stores all types of pavement data for use by the bureau, central offices, and districts.
Provides technical support and coordinates the ongoing use, maintenance, and enhancement of computer hardware and data information systems used in the bureau’s pavement design approvals and performance monitoring efforts.
Designs, maintains, and enhances database systems ensuring that necessary changes and upgrades are implemented and documented.
Assists in maintaining the department’s mechanistic-empirical pavement design spreadsheet to reflect policy and performance data updates.
Reviews data and identifies and resolves errors while ensuring timely and effective completion of assigned project objectives.
Supports other data reduction, collection, and storage activities conducted by the bureau.
Requirements
Completion of a bachelor’s degree majoring in computer science or information technology PLUS two years of experience managing and handling large data sets; OR eight years of experience managing and handling large data sets.
Working knowledge of database management, electronic records, and website maintenance.
Ability to transfer, sort, and store large data sets to maintain integrity of files and databases.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver's license.
Occasional statewide travel and limited out-of-state travel with overnight stays.
Successful completion of a background screening.
