Role Overview
- Oversee day-to-day accounting for assigned clients
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activity
- Manage and execute month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Oversee AR/AP processes and cash flow reporting
- Maintain organized and audit-ready accounting documentation
- Supervise and support bookkeeping and accounting staff
- Review work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines
- Provide coaching and guidance to improve team performance
- Ensure consistency in accounting procedures across assigned clients
- Assist with onboarding new clients and transitioning accounting records
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements
- Ensure timely delivery of client reporting packages
- Perform variance review and basic financial analysis
- Respond to client questions related to financial reports
- Maintain strong internal controls and accounting best practices
- Identify and implement workflow improvements within the accounting function
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Support external tax preparers and auditors as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field.
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience managing full-cycle accounting
- Experience supervising or reviewing accounting staff
- Advanced QuickBooks Online experience (required)
- Experience in public accounting or outsourced accounting
- Experience working with multiple entities or clients, pivot tables, advanced formulas etc.
- Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus but not required.
