Assists BCBA with baseline and ongoing assessments of new clients using appropriate assessment protocols and procedures.
Implements programs to address socially significant needs of the client ensuring therapy is conducted to establish and maintain cooperation, promote self-advocacy, autonomy, and engagement.
Works with BCBA to implement programming to promote communication skills.
Creates, prepares and organizes instructional materials.
Trains and monitors BTs and RBTs in the implementation of programs, and behavioral intervention procedures.
Works directly with the client, modifying existing protocols and probing new skills as directed by the BCBA.
Collaborates with family during Family Treatment Guidance sessions.
Communicates effectively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals as instructed.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Must obtain RBT within 120 days of employment.
At least 2,000 hours of training or supervised experience in the use of behaviorally based therapy models for children with autism spectrum disorders who meet all criteria to receive this service.
Must be able to independently and repeatedly lift, move, and carry objects weighing up to thirty-five (35) lbs.
