About this role
Role Overview
Oversees the IT operational duties and procedures for the commercial transportation product group
Develop efficiencies and process improvements for the commercial transportation group
Defines and conveys the vision to the team in order to address business requirements to ensure a successful product based on business value
Drives the creation of and the ongoing health of the product backlog
With the team’s Scrum Master, co-leads grooming of the product backlog and ensures the backlog is correctly prioritized based on business value
Responsible for ensuring the Scrum Master and development team are focused on the right priorities during the development process
Primary point of contact for questions from the team and is empowered to make decisions
Provides clear detailed requirements and acceptance criteria to the IT delivery team
Accepts delivery of working product from the Scrum Team
Socializes the delivery of business value and outcomes of the iteration to the stakeholders and clients
Leads in special projects and duties as needed
Requirements
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, or related field
6+ years of related experience for consideration
Deep understanding of commercial transportation is strongly preferred, but not required
P&C insurance knowledge is required [OR] equivalent level of education and experience
Must be well organized, methodical, and detail oriented
Possess strong analytical skills and ability to define business cases
Flexible and adaptable in an evolving environment, including willingness to learn new processes and serve as a champion for improvement initiatives
Ability to collaborate with and achieve actionable results through others
Experience delivering software solutions in an Agile environment preferred
