Senior Patient Account Representative – Credit Balance

Role Overview

• Under general supervision, participate in patient processing and accounts receivable functions including billing, charge entry, collection, patient registration, coding, payment posting, and credit balance resolution
• Review patient admitting records
• Contact agency representatives to verify coverage
• Perform preliminary reviews of source documents
• Operate hospital information system terminal to obtain demographic information

Requirements

• 1.5 years of experience in Medical Billing, Medical Collections, Medical Billing Systems (IDX or other billing system)
• Attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office tools
