Role Overview
- Act as the responsible engineer and client point of contact for substation power delivery projects.
- Assist in marketing and promotion efforts to add new regional clients.
- Prepare, review, and P.E. seal technical calculation reports and construction documents meeting client and NV5 requirements.
- Develop your career via peer-learning through sharing knowledge with other experienced engineers and train and mentor junior staff.
- Travel to client sites as needed.
- Mentor junior staff.
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering or related engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required
- M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred
- 5+ years of progressive in structural design engineering experience within substation or transmission line projects
- Other structural design experience (i.e. bridges, or building design) is a plus
- Experience with at least one of the following: RISA, MathCAD, and/or PLS software suite
- Physical substation design experience is strongly preferred
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license.
