Complete insurance and medical questionnaires with clients as required for assessing their insurability.
Handle customer calls regarding insurance claims.
Collect the information necessary to analyze applications (insurance and risk selection).
Assess needs and respond to each request in a professional, friendly, and timely manner.
Identify and review ideas and trends to promote continuous improvement.
Keep product and service knowledge up to date and regularly participate in appropriate professional development courses.
Requirements
High school diploma
Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer service or the medical sector
Exceptional active listening and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in English to communicate with clients across Canada
Understanding of medical terminology (examples: CLSC, medical secretary, personal support worker, pharmacy)
Ability to determine the level of importance of information received from clients
Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
Positive attitude and commitment to service quality
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Team player with a proven ability to collaborate effectively
