Building Operations Specialist

Role Overview

• Provide maintenance assistance and support to the Capitol Complex
• Perform highly skilled and complex mechanical repairs on building equipment
• Conduct inspections, analyze trouble, and plan sequences of repair operations
• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements
• Analyze performance of equipment and perform maintenance on air conditioning systems
• Conduct plumbing duties, including unclogging drains and repairing fixtures
• Maintain good public relations with peers, supervision, and tenants in the building

Requirements

• Five years’ experience in the maintenance and repair of commercial buildings
• At least two years in one of the major disciplines of the building trades
• HVAC/Chiller Certification
• Valid and applicable driver’s license
• Ability to be on-call, occasionally working nights, weekends and holidays
