About this role
Role Overview
Work collaboratively with a small team to lead tours of historic sites
Participate in planning, development, and presentation of educational programs
Coordinate craft and skill demonstrations
Collect admission fees and visitor statistics
Promote events and manage gift shop sales
Maintain general order of visitor facilities
Required to work weekends
Occasional travel and off-site work may be required
Requirements
High School Diploma
Ability to learn large amounts of information quickly
Ability to confidently speak and work with a range of audiences
Ability to work collaboratively in a small workplace team
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry moderate loads
Basic understanding of the history of Alberta
Interest in historical interpretation
Communication, creativity, and organizational skills
Post-secondary education and/or experience in relevant fields is an asset
Customer service experience is an asset
Experience with children and seniors is an asset
Fluency in French and/or Indigenous languages is an asset
