Install Mainframe Software, maintain and update existing Mainframe systems.
Conduct Mainframe systems programming and support activities.
Monitor effective language codes, processing routines, hardware use, and database management techniques.
Prepare and conduct system and programming tests.
Ensure system improvements are successfully implemented.
Lead medium to large projects or work on complex issues requiring broad perspective and analysis.
Develop policies and procedures and recommend best practices.
Responsible for design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of various system programs.
Requirements
Master's degree and 4 years of related experience, or Bachelor's degree and 6 years of related experience, or high school degree and 8 years of related experience.
Experience in mainframe as a systems programmer in IBM/z environment.
Strong understanding of z/OS operating system and system structures
