Market Executive – Tax Credit Syndication, Investments – Commercial Real Estate, Community Development Banking

Role Overview

• Set multi-year CRA cycle strategy for Indirect LIHTC, HTC, and NMTC platforms
• Build and lead a high-performing national team
• Maintain market leadership as a proprietary fund tax credit equity investor
• Partner with CDB regions to align strategy and production goals across markets
• Source LIHTC via syndication partners and direct HTC and NMTC transactions
• Oversee and support structuring and underwriting of indirect LIHTC, HTC, and NMTCs
• Develop pipeline across affordable housing, adaptive reuse/historic preservation, and community facility projects
• Cultivate strategic relationships with CDFIs, syndicators, and institutional investors
• Oversee underwriting for Indirect LIHTC equity and debt facilities, HTC equity, and NMTC financings
• Lead Indirect LIHTC fund formation, investor relations, and syndication strategies
• Establish AMI deal targets, job creation, and community facility outcomes
• Ensure strong communication with regions and leadership

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of progressive leadership in LIHTC, HTC, and NMTC programs
• Proven track record in origination, structuring, underwriting, and portfolio management
• Deep knowledge of tax credit regulations, partnership tax, and market dynamics
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and closing equity transactions with syndicators, CDFIs, and/or public/private investors
• Strong financial modeling skills and industry credibility
• Bachelor’s degree or advanced credentials (MBA, MPA, JD, CPA) strongly preferred.
