Role Overview
- Creating new designs and resolving issues regarding manufacturing or building sequences
- Ensuring design acceptance and manufacturing readiness
- Participating in the adoption of new design to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement
- Collaborating with all functional areas (marketing, purchasing, manufacturing) to provide a design solution that meets the requirements of the customer and dealer network
- Communicate and present effectively in design reviews
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and policies
- Develop product-testing procedures and participate in selecting testing environment and tools
- Assist in problem resolution, drafting and writing specifications for engineering practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 5 years equivalent experience in mechanical engineering
- Experience in component design and machining
- Demonstrated experience in problem-solving and global collaboration
- 8+ years of experience in engineering (top candidate)
- Polished presentation skills to director level audience
- Experience in reciprocating engine component design
